On July 19th, we went to the Miami Culinary Institute that it's located in the MDC Wolfson Campus,
there we had a gentleman who gives us a tour for the institute, it has 8 levels, and in each level you will find the labs where the students spend like three hours to cook what their teachers taught them.
As part of the tour we had the opportunity to speak with the Director of the institute, he gave us a little class about nutrition and healthy food and explained how they teach and show to their students what is better to eat and what is healthier.
A very particular characteristic about the building is that is Green, they use the vegetable food scraps as compost for the organic garden that they have near the institute. In addition, the building has a lot of unique details that make it green, they have a lot of reusable things around the building.Some of those reusable "things" make part of the restaurant Tuyo that it's in the last floor of the building.
Tuyo is an excellent restaurant to take your girlfriend, is very elegant and romantic and it has an amazing view of Miami.
